The reading plans are formed for you from templates which you can modify to meet your own needs. There is even a type of template you can make from a dialog box!

While not including the actual text of the Bible, it allows the reading assignments to be divided as you like, by chapters or verses. If you fall behind, reassigning the dates that assignments are due may take some of the stress off getting to know the Lord better through his word.

Sword Tamer is compatible with Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows ME. An evaluation version will be able to be downloaded for free* and may be freely shared with your friends, but should not be used for more than 60 days from the date of installation. The registering the program includes free** upgrades for a year.

Starting Sword Tamer may be a little bit confusing. This tutorial will walk you through the process of selecting a reading plan, setting up a reader environment, and using the three parts of Sword Tamer.

When you start Sword Tamer, the following screen will be visible.

You need two things to get started:

A plan for reading the Bible, separated as assignments of verses or chapters assigned to specific dates
A record of each reader's information, including name, Bible verses already read, and any notes taken
