Edit By BS Editor: The Srego ceCmd Command Window is Similar to the Windows Command Prompt (or DOS Prompt). It is installed on and runs on the desktop, but it manipulates a connected Windows Mobile Device or Smartphone. The Srego ceCmd Command Windows uses RAPI (Remote Application Programming Interface) to communicate with the connected device and no software needs to be installed on the device itself; just an ActiveSync connection is needed. All devices running Pocket PC, Windows Mobile, Smartphone, or CE.NET are supported.

The Srego ceCmd Command Window is still in beta and not yet complete, but it does contain a significant amount of functionality. The idea behind ceCmd is to provide another style of input for a connected Windows Mobile device or a Smartphone. While similar in functionality to both the Srego CE ToolPack Command-Line utilities and the Srego CE ToolPack ActiveX contol, the Srego ceCmd application provides a different approach to manipulating the connected device. Instead of providing utilities for the Windows Command Prompt or a development tool, the Srego ceCmd provides a self-contained application.

The Srego ceCmd is not exactly like a Windows Command Prompt because there are several things about the Windows Command Prompt that can be improved upon especially when applied to a connected device.
