This enables you to have more than one scan occurring at a time.This might be useful if you wished to scan distinct subdirectories .Or even multiple drives simultaneously

It will also allow you to save icons while you are still scanning
Icons are saved in the 'Standard Windows Icon File Format'
You may give your saved files any name (and extension) you wish
