He frequently needed to rename a number of DOC files on his computer to a different File Extension such as "BAK"

FileExtent lets him do it quickly and safely .
FileExtent is very easy to use. All functions are controlled within the program's main window.

Simply select the starting Drive and Directory.
The File Control is located to the right of the Drive and Directory Controls.

Use the mouse and keyboard (Ctrl Key and Mouse Click) to selected indicividual files or use the mouse and keyboard (Shift + Mouse Click) to select a range of files.On the far right is the Application Control Panel.

This allows you to specific the new file extention that will be applied.If you have an Internet connection, you can link to Fineware's web site by clicking once on the URL address .

In the example above, we are about to make changes beginning with the files in directory "C:\Art\Wallpaper\Misc.

Process Changes Button Pressing this button will cause the program to examine all of the file names that have been selected as well as the other files located in that same directory to insure that no two files will end up with the same file name and extension. After this check is made. the program will rename all files and re-display the directory contents with the new file names.
