BSEditor: DisableBackspaceNavigation is a small extension for the Firefox Web Browser. The extension removes the navigational functions from the Backspace key. Comments about this extension can be found at the Firefox Add-ons page.

In Firefox 1.0 and 1.5 the backspace key was used to go back to the previous page. This behavior was changed to page up navigation in the Linux version of Firefox 2.0. And with Firefox 3.0 they removed any navigational functions from this key under Linux by default. Under Windows the backspace key is still used for going one page back. I am curious in what they will do next! :-)

The extension has been tested with Firefox 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 3.0b3 under Debian GNU/Linux and Windows Server 2008. The source code is released under the terms of the GNU General Public License version 2. you can free download DisableBackspaceNavigation 0.3 now.
