There are two styles for the User Interface (UI): with tabs at the top and a bigger dialog with no tabs. Use whichever style you prefer–they have exactly the same features.

No Tabs UI When you are using the UI style with tabs at the top, clicking this button takes you to the no-tabs style. This makes the window bigger, so it is better for higher resolution screens.
Tabs UI When you are using the UI style with no tabs at the top, clicking this button takes you to the tabs style. This makes the window smaller, so it is better for lower resolution screens.
Small Ad DeDup is brought to you for free by EmailPayrollServices. Clicking this button shows you a small ad from the sponsor or see the Sponsor's Help File page within this help file; no need to be online for either.

The program contains no Spy-Ware, Ad-Ware or pop-ups. It never contacts the internet except when you specifically click on the link to the sponsor web page. No data is passed from your system. The program knows none of your personal data, although it does remember the last folders you specified for searching for duplicate files. This is shown when you start the program in case you want to search the same folder again. Use the Clear All button next to the list if you wish to prevent this. Or exit the program with the Close button in the upper right of the dialog.

The program and help file consume under 120k bytes (0.12MByte). That is why the download and install may have been so quick you thought they failed.

The program can be uninstalled with the windows install/remove system in the control panel or via the DeDup uninstall available through the Programs menu.
