EditByBSEditor: You may need a lot of technical data for your work. In order to save hard disk storage, a good solution is to burn all the files into a CD/DVD. But it is very boring to check disk by disk when you need to locate some file you previously burned to the CD/DVDs. Now, CDSnapshot, is developed to assist you locating the file without disks.

I. Create Snapshot
Start the program, when the main dialog box appears, click the ?ew?button. Choose the CD driver you want to make a snapshot for. Then insert the disk into the driver and type in the label for the disk. Click ?tart?button, and it will create the index for all the files of the disk. After it finished, eject the disk and label it with the same title of the snapshot so you can easily locate the disk you want later. Repeat the same procedure to create indices for all your disk.

Hint: CDSnapshot can create snapshot for removable hard disks, floppy disks, and U-disks, not only CD/DVDs are supported.

II. Locate File
In CDSnapshot,, there are two different ways to locate your file. In ?earch in snapshots?tab, enter the file or folder name you want to search, can click search button. It will help you locate in which disk the file resides. Or, you can browse the snapshots one by one manually. In this mode, you can view all the disk contents without connect to them.
