Terragen Mac is specifically designed to give the kind of user experience Mac users expect. It follows the Apple human interface guidelines for both OS 9 and OS X. It takes advantage of a number of capabilities unique to the Mac. It has good basic AppleScript support, allowing automation and animation, currently providing more capabilities than Terragen's native scripting system. There are a number of Velocity Engine optimisations which accelerate certain functions on the G4 and newer. It uses Quartz for high quality graphics on OS X. Terragen Mac also takes advantage of QuickTime for a variety of tasks from saving images to importing images to use as terrains to creating QTVR panorama movies.
